Replace Selection
Replace Selection swaps every selected object for a chosen prefab, in place — keeping each object's position and rotation. It's the quick way to upgrade greyboxing into final art, or to swap one variant for another across many objects at once.
Choosing the prefab
Run the command from the wheel, and the adjust panel opens with a Prefab field:
- Drag a prefab into the field, or click its picker dot to search your project.
- The chosen prefab is remembered across sessions, so repeated replacements are one click.
The first time you run it with no prefab set, nothing changes yet — the panel simply opens so you can pick one, then the replacement applies.
Offset
Prefabs don't always share the same origin as the objects you're replacing. A door prefab might have its pivot on the far side of a wall, for example. The Offset field nudges each replacement to compensate, so it lands where you expect.
The offset resets after you commit, so it won't carry into your next replace.
The same Replace action is also available from the editor window if you prefer working with regular fields and buttons.
